The
municipality of Thisvi consists of Ellopia, Xironomi, Domvrena,
Thisvi and Prodromos villages. In the setllement of the municipality,
the historical tradition ofthousand years gives a rich total
of social and cultural meaning
The existance of leaving in the settlement of Horsies, Thisvi
and Tifa (Aliki), which was the harbor of Thespies, goes at least
in the early time of copper (2.800 b.C), and their importance as
connections from the wheaty Viotia with the Peloponnesian harbours
since the Mycenaean era (1.600 - 1.100 b.C) was primal because it
was the fastest way until the opening of the Isthmos canal.
Many archaeological Thisvian finds are found in several museums
around the world.
