You should not leave Skopelos before you try the famous cheese pie. It is very delicious and it is also served in taverns. The recipe of the pie is well hidden in the chef's hat. Blackfish casserole with onions is the dish that astonishes everyone. You can find it in Eugene's restaurant accompanied by the voice of George Xyndaris.

The road to Stafyllo leads to the tavern of Terpsy. There you can enjoy stuffed chicken that will make your stomach happy. If you like deserts, then you should try one of the famous traditional deserts of Skopelos. 'Rozedes'(a combination of almonds, rose-water and nuts) and 'hamalia'(sweet with nuts) will make your mouth water.

If you are lucky to attend a wedding in Skopelos, then you should be able to listen the traditional songs that will amaze you accompanied by the sounds of clarinet, violin and lute. If you wish them 'happiness', they will offer you hand made sweets. 

Festivities take place on August 6th, in the Convent of Metamorphosis and on December 4th, in the Convent of Agia Varvara.

On August 15th , a festivity in Glossa takes place, with a lot of dancing music and singing. In the same place, in the beginning of August they organize the 'Loizia' in memory of the composer Manos Loizos. 

Do not forget to be present in the festivities about music that begin in the middle of August and end with the festivities of plum.
