Naxos is the biggest island of the Cyclades. It is an island with mountains; when the horizon is clear one can see up to the mountaintop of Za - the highest peak of the Cyclades (1004m) It is one of the most beautiful islands of Greece, with wonderful beaches, rich landscape variety, traditional villages, monuments and places with tremendous view. Natives are very friendly, hospitable and always trying to make visitors feel a part of their family.

There are many things one can see in Naxos, including the "trademark" of the island, the Portara. It is an ancient monument of the 6th century BC located next to the port. |

The Venetian castle is another place you need to visit. The narrow streets and the old town that is built around it will impress you. In 1204 the Aegean Duchy was founded, based in Naxos. This Duchy, that was also considered a Naxos Duchy, was preserved until 1564 when the island was enslaved to Turkey. The locals, however, were mostly living with the fear of a European Christian pirate invasion than with fear of the Turkish. In town there are many churches of value (orthodox and catholic), that in their bright white colour seem like oases of serenity in the busy summertime period.

The beaches of the island are magnificent. Agia Anna is a very long beach of 2km with thin, golden sand. There are all conveniences . Agia Anna is a place for pleasant holidays. How to get to Agia Anna to Maroussa Xiou Studios

From the port of Naxos, as you can see on the map, following the beach route and passing through the beaches of Agios Georgios and Agios Prokopios, you arrive in Agia Anna beach. Agia Anna is the little bay after Agios Prokopios. Maroussa Xiou Studios are located in very quiet area of Agia Anna, just 1 minute walking distance from the beach.

The rooms are double or triple. There also are apartments with sea view. We are waiting for you in our ground level island house. Maroussa Xiou Studios in the clean and romantic beach of your destination, AGIA ANNA and we wish you a pleasant stay in the beautiful island of Naxos.
All rooms have their own veranda with view to the garden. They are very spacious, sunny, clean and can accommodate 2 to 4 persons each.
They have their private w/c and bathroom with 24 hours hot water and are fully equipped. In the services are also included kitchen, refrigerator, hair dryer, A/C and TV.
