Platanes Rethimno |
The beach of Platanes is situated 4 kilometers far from Rethymnon at the East. It is a beautiful sandy beach, open to the North, so it is affected by the "meltemia". Well organised, it offers accommodation facilities in hotels and rooms to let; several taverns offer local food and drink; facilities for swimming and sunbathing (sunbeds, umbrellas) are also available. Access from Rethymnon is easy by public bus, with frequent service, taxi and rented or private car and motorbike.
