GENERAL INFO


Agios Nikolaos. Agios Nikolaos is the capital of Lasithi with population of almost 5000 inhabitants.

It is a picturesque city with good climate and wonderful beaches. It is situated almost 70 km from Hraklio.

The route is fantastic and the visitor can admire some picturesque villages.

Agios Nikolaos


Near to Ag. Nikolaou port is the small bottomless lake of Bouliagmenis. Mythology reports that Goodness Athina was making her bath in that lake. Mithos Beach hotel group is a new plaza with bungalows. This group is located to the magic beach Ammoudi.

Elouda beach is also in Elounta and it is a big hotel-group with 250 furnitured rooms in Minoan rhythm.

Agios Nikolaos

The visitor is able to have a lot of excursions with starting point Ag. Nikolao. So he or she can visit Gournia.

Here, with a lot of excavations it came to the surface the great Minoan colony, which is aged, from 1600 b.c to 1400 b.c. Northeastern from Gournia and to a small distance it is Paxia Ammos a small port with pothouses. Another location that it’s worth visiting is Ierapetra.
