Palechora Chania

Paleohora is a pleasant large summer resort located on the south-west tip of Crete (75 kilometres from Chania), near the sea.
The village is built in a way that it separates the seashore in two, forming two beaches: one sandy and one with pebbles. Both have refreshing crystalline waters. One of the beaches is always protected from the winds so it is possible to choose between enjoy a relax swim or practice windsurfing.

It is a lively village with a population of about 2000 inhabitants and becomes very busy during high season but still have places for those who want to get away from the crowd.

Paleohora offers a wide range of accommodations, various restaurants serving all kind of cuisine, plenty of shops and some lively bars and clubs staying open until dawn. Paleohora used to be the principal harbour of the region in later periods.
